Hello Everyone! My name is Joey and I’ve been an Agent with Compass since 2015. I started my journey in insurance after college at Millikin University back in 2004 with Federated Mutual Insurance. I was a captive agent for 11 years before transitioning to Compass in 2015 to become an independent agent representing several companies. As an Agent, I get to help local Businesses, contractors, churches, and non-profits with their commercial insurance needs, Group Benefits, and succession planning. I also enjoy helping people with their personal insurance (home, auto, personal umbrella) being an Endorsed Local Provider for Dave Ramsey. We believe in Dave Ramsey’s principles on managing money and protecting you properly.

In 2020, I joined the Agency’s ownership team (don’t ask me why) I am kidding. As a co-owner of the agency, I get the opportunity to work with the rest of our leadership team to find ways to make Compass Insurance Partners your agency of choice. I’m passionate about helping others get into the business and assisting them in taking care of our great customers well into the future. I have learned so much in 16 years by getting my LUTCF, CLU, and CIC designations as I love learning to provide knowledge to make an impact.

I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana while my wonderful wife Karla was raised on family farm in Central Illinois. Karla and I have 3 kids: Hunter, Kenna, and Grace. We love to travel, do projects at home, coach soccer locally, being involved at church, and give back generously to our community.
